The clarion call for President Obama to issue a travel ban to and from West Africa to prevent the spread of Ebola in the United States has not only reached the Halls of Congress, legislators on both sides of the political isle are calling for a more robust response to the crisis in order to quell fears and protect the American people.

Exactly what these measures will include remains to be seen. To date, there are only two Americans with confirmed infections of Ebola. Fear of an outbreak are raising concerns that the nation isn’t prepared – especially given that upward of 75 other Americans are being monitored daily to determine if they’re indeed infected.
