The famed Pledge of Allegiance is being put under review in Mass.  Across the country protesters have been trying to get ‘Under God’ out of the Pledge of Allegiance because people felt it was an unconstitutional violation of the separation of church and state. The separation of church and state is the distance in the relationship between organized religion and the nation-state.  Both entities are supposed to act independent of one another. Attempts have failed so far to get the phrase ‘under God’ removed, but now a new approach is being taken.  The new argument being thrown around from the executive director of the American Humanist Association, an atheist group arguing for the plaintiffs will make a case of discrimination claiming that if people don’t pledge than it could lead to them being scrutinized by others.  To read the full story, click the link below.
