According to the latest Domestic Violence statistics, every nine seconds a woman is assaulted or beaten in the United States. The same statistics suggests that three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends everyday.
Khadija Wali-Uhud, founder and CEO of both Jazzundaground International and Mother Khadija’s Domestic Violence for Youth Foundation, is working diligently to stop Domestic Violence. Mrs. Uhud talked with ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland, about her efforts and an Inaugural Domestic Violence Charity event to raise awareness and help victims.
