Despite the city’s affordable housing crisis, at least the Charlotte Housing Authority is making strides to serve residents in need. With the Strawn Cottage Site development planned in Dilworth for example, the Charlotte Housing Authority is eager to provide quality affordable housing to residents in and around Charlotte. The $330 Million Mixed-use Mixed Income Development is set to provide office and retail space, as well as beautiful residents – which includes town homes and upward of 725 mixed income apartments. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland delved into Charlotte’s affordable housing crisis and the bevy of projects underway with Cheron Porter, Senior Vice President of Communications for the Charlotte Housing Authority.
