President Obama announced his executive actions on gun control today, and as he implored gun rights activists to consider reasonable measures, he cried. Remembering the children and the “inalienable rights to liberty and pursuit of happiness stripped from college kids in Blacksburg, and Santa Barbara, and from high schoolers in Columbine, and from first graders in Newtown”, tears streamed down his cheek. The White House is adding a requirement that expands background checks for buyers, mandates that individuals who sell firearms register as licensed gun dealers.
