Meadowlark Lemon, the famous face of the Harlem Globetrotters, died Sunday at age 83 in Scottsdale, Arizona. A North Carolina native, Lemon was known for his on-court comedy, pranks and unparalleled basketball skills, played with the Globetrotters for 22 years. He left the team in 1978 but by that time had played over 16,000 games in some 100 countries.
