A discussion that is most often overlooked with regard to Domestic Violence is the male victim’s perspective. According to the CDC, 40% of victims of “severe, physical domestic violence are men.” Although the numbers are disputed among advocates against Domestic Violence, it’s safe to say that male victims are often in the shadows due to shame and ridicule. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland talked with Michael Sexton of the Mecklenburg County Community Support Services and Coordinator of the Domestic Violence Speaker’s Bureau.
