Los Angeles, CA –The Oscar Nominations were announced Thursday morning and not making the list to the surprise of many in the category of Best Director was Ava DuVernay.
The timing of this couldn’t be worse as DuVernay, one of the most celebrated Directors out here today is highly in demand and is one of only a hand full of top female directors in the country, let alone as an African American.
Hopefully the Oscars and the powers that be, will not have any affect on how the world views the movie, SELMA or create any controversy surrounding the film.
