Carry Bandy founder of Tower of Strength Youth and Family Services motivation to establish the organization derived from the words “Tower of Strength”, which many used to describe her mother whose life ended to gun violence. Through this tragedy, she transpired her pain into purpose. She is active in her community through offering programs and volunteering. She served in the military for eight years, and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Throughout Bandy’s life there have been many crossroads leading to her philosophy of hope and determination. Bandy’s experiences have fueled her passion to help others to overcome adversity.
