On yesterday, I sat in on a meeting where some leaders were discussing whether or not their customers were ready to adopt some new advertising strategies they wanted to introduce with the launch of a new product.
After providing customers with a set way of doing things for over seven years, the thought of moving on to something new caused a few of the leaders in the meeting to feel slightly apprehensive.
In short, they feared that their current customers were not going to like the changes.
Knowing that I was actually in favor of the newly proposed strategies, one of the leaders who was not approached me after the meeting was over, and shared with me a statement I’m quite sure we all at some time or another have heard before.
“Milan, don’t forget…the customer is always right.“
