Democrats have announced that Stacey Abrams – who was on the ballot for Georgia governor last year – will deliver the response to President Trump’s State of the Union address next week. Three weeks ago, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer extended the invitation to her, calling her, “a great spokesperson” and “an incredible leader.” She’ll be the second person to deliver the rebuttal while not serving in public office. Abrams’ response to the SOTU will air on Tuesday, February 5th.
