T-Mobile and Sprint have announced (once again) their intent to merge. The third- and fourth-largest wireless service providers in the country coming together would leave the US with just three major wireless carriers – the others being Verizon and AT&T. Reportedly the merged company would take the T-Mobile name, would create a nationwide 5G network, and offer lower prices day one. But the merger has to get an OK from the government first and concerns about competition have tanked the merger talk times before.
