US-POLITICS-TRUMP-MEDAL OF HONOR

President Donald Trump continued his Twitter drama with three UCLA students who were arrested last week on suspicion of shoplifting while their team was in China. At that time, Trump was in China on his diplomatic trip, and spoke with Chinese officials to get them released. He then, pretty much essentially asked the players them to thank him personally for their release – which they did in a news conference, but then there is Lavar Ball. The outspoken father of one of the players, LiAngelo Ball, did not express the same level of gratitude, and angered the president, prompting a tweet that said, “Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!”
