Millions of Americans will have opportunity to watch a total eclipse of the sun on today — the first one visible in the U.S. from coast to coast in 99 years. Over 200 million people are expected to make an event of the occurance, making this anticipation of the most observed and photographed eclipse in history.  Charlotte will not see a total eclipse, but viewing of the partial eclipse in Charlotte will begin as early as 1:12pm.
