Cheryl Harris, who is an Allstate Education Sponsor, tells Erica Campbell and GRIFF all about the “Quotes for Education Program.” The program encourages people to support alumnus and others who care about HBCUs to help keep students entering and graduating, by securing scholarship money to help them do so.

Cheryl explains that Allstate has given away over a million dollars to keep students in school since 2006, and has helped over 575 students. This year’s goal is to give away $250,000 to The Tom Joyner Foundation, in order to add to that pool of students who have received funds for their education. Plus, she explains that HBCU’s need our support more now than ever before, not just get students into school, but to help them stay! The number one reason, she explains, why students don’t finish school, is because they down have the money to do so. Click on the audio payer to hear more in this exclusive interview from “Get Up!
