Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will remain closed Monday, with Hurricane Florence expected to bring flood conditions to the Charlotte area over the weekend.  CMS is the state’s second-largest district and has been closed since Thursday.  Officials operating out of concern for students safety and accommodate five high schools that are set up as shelters for evacuees. East, South and North Mecklenburg, Olympic and Ardrey Kell high schools, are are earmarked as emergency shelters.
