For decades our nation’s Veterans have faced an uphill battle receiving consistent care from the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. It’s clear that Congress and Administrations on both sides of the political isle have failed to ensure that all of our war heroes are given top priority when it comes to quality care.

Yes, the VA has received billions of dollars to fund efforts to care for over 8.3 million Veterans. And with upward of 53,000 independent health practitioners across the country, the quality in care has improved dramatically. Unfortunately, there’s an abdication in providing consistent care for all of our Veterans. This is evident in both the wrangling over funding the VA and the huge bureaucracy that forces our Vets to languish on long waiting lists to diagnosis illnesses.

And unfortunately, consistent care isn’t the only area our Veterans grapple with when they return home from combat. Many of our Veterans have lost homes, employment, family; they’re mired in debt and confronted by a war weary nation indifferent to their problems. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland and Conservative Talker Henry Hollingshead delve into alleged misconduct at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Hospital and a potential scandal that will further beleaguer the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
