Church Supports Faithful Struggling Through Recession

This year both Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a Sunday. Businesses around the country have changed their holiday schedules, many offering employees alternative days for observation of these holidays. But what to do if your “business” is church? Well this year, nearly 9 out of 10 Protestant senior pastors say their churches will hold services on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day ,according to a recent survey from Nashville-based LifeWay Research. Additionally, more than 7 in 10 pastors say their churches will hold Christmas Eve services, and most will continue with the usual New Year’s Eve services.
