Some flights have been released after Delta Air Lines grounded all flights worldwide this morning due to a “system outage.” By about 9 a.m. EST, Delta had lifted a few flights and some departures have resumed. The carrier released a statement saying the issue began with a power outage in Atlanta around 2:30 a.m. Flights already in the air at that time continued operating normally but all others awaiting departure were delayed. Delta said that large-scale cancellations are expected today.
