Praise Charlotte On The Stellar Red Carpet
What a week, Charlotte! The 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards brought Gospel Music’s Greatest Night to the Queen City for the first time, and Praise 102.5/610 AM was right in the middle of it all. From Stellar Plus events throughout the week to Saturday night’s red carpet at Spectrum Center, it was incredible welcoming so many of gospel music’s artists, legends and industry friends to our city. The theme was “Feels Like Home,” and with all of the hugs, laughter, reunions and love being shared, it really did.
We had a chance to catch up with some of our Praise family on the red (actually purple) carpet before the show, which featured performances from John P. Kee, Jonathan McReynolds, Jekalyn Carr, Karen Clark Sheard, Yolanda Adams, Tye Tribbett, Kierra Sheard-Kelly, PJ Morton, Marvin Sapp and so many more. Tasha Cobbs Leonard received the Aretha Franklin Icon Award, while Pastor Mike Jr. was honored with the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award.
