Woman getting mammogram

Former Carolina Panther DeAngelo Williams continues to find ways to honor his late mother, Sandra, whom he lost to breast cancer last year.  He has dyed his hair and painted his nails pink, and reportedly was denied a request to wear pink all season.

However, Williams will not be stopped.  He is now bringing more awareness during this Breast Cancer Awareness month by helping women in need get mammograms. Through his foundation, he is funding mammograms for 53 women at cancer screening centers in North Carolina, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.  His mother was 53 when she lost her battle with breast cancer.
