Bombs exploded outside two New Mexico churches early Sunday. Though no injuries were reported, the blasts occurred just a few miles and 20 minutes apart in Las Cruces. The first bomb went off at about 8:20 a.m. in a mailbox near the office entrance to Calvary Baptist and a second detonated in a trash can outside Holy Cross Catholic around 8:40 a.m. The FBI, ATF, and New Mexico State Police—are investigating to determine how and if they bombings are connected.
