The White House makes no apologies for President Barack Obama‘s use of the N-word to make a point during an interview this week. Press Secretary Josh Earnest noted that the reason for the president’s use of the word “could not be more apparent.” In an interview for Marc Maron’s podcast, President Obama said, “Racism, we are not cured of it. And it’s not just a matter of it not being polite to say n—– in public. That’s not the measure of whether racism still exists or not.” The president’s use of the word, was clearly in context of an example. However, that didn’t stop people from talking about whether or not it was “appropriate”.
