Nashville, TN — Visionary leader, extraordinary pastor and popular recording artist, Bishop Paul S. Morton entered the Billboard Top Gospel Chart at Number 3 this week with his new release BEST DAYS YET.   The album, which was released on Light Records and Tehillah Music Group, marks the joint label’s second release in the top 5 (new artist Jonathan McReynolds is at Number 5) on this week’s chart.

BEST DAYS YET has been heralded as one of Morton’s best as it speaks right to the heart of people.    Bishop Morton offers resounding themes of encouragement, hope and transformation exemplified by its title track, “Best Days Yet,” a timeless song for the church. Though studio-recorded, the song’s powerful instrumentation gives it a live feel.  The song is currently in the top 20 on the radio charts.

BEST DAYS YET is well rounded, powerful and encouraging. As he does in his role as pastor & Bishop, Morton lifts people’s spirits through this album them honest messages of hope. “There is so much in each of the songs,” said Bishop Morton.  “I want them to really minister to people [they] need hope in this day and time.  The songs really center around that.”

There are stellar guest artists on BEST DAYS YET including Marvin Winans on the soulful and contemporary “Things Are Changing.”  And the incomparable Karen Clark Sheard on “The Grass Withereth” an absolute modern take on a classic and pays homage Thomas Whitfield, an early mentor to Morton.   BEST DAYS YET is also family affair.  Morton took the opportunity to work with his son, PJ and daughter Jasmine Morton-Ross.  PJ, well known for his amazing songwriting pens several songs on the album lending his signature sound.  PJ’s hit “Go Through” and  “The Promise” led by Jasmine are high points.  

The success of BEST DAYS YET was spurred on by an amazing album release event at Bishop’s home church, Changing A Generation in Atlanta and a recent promotional tour.

Bishop Paul Morton is the International Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship and Sr. Pastor of Changing a Generation church in Atlanta, GA.  As he looks towards a legacy that includes over 38 years of preaching, over 30 years of singing and recording music and a lifetime called by God, BEST DAYS YET is a perfect pinnacle in a storied career.
