Gospel artist, William Becton is quite familiar with the challenges of life. Affectionately known as “Mr. Be Encouraged” (after his chart topping hit song ‘Be Encouraged’ from the CD entitled, ‘BROKEN’), Becton has had to contend with a bevy of losses and disappointments.
From the disbanding of his group, ‘William Becton and Friends’ to nearly fading into obscurity, Becton has had to dig deep for the inspiration to stay relevant. Becton is now Pastor of Kingdom Purpose Worship Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He’s lost over 115lbs. He hosts the ‘William Becton Show’ on Praise 100.9 & 92.7 FM in Charlotte. More importantly for Becton is the release of his new single, ‘THANK YOU.’ William Becton has reemerged into the Gospel music industry after nearly 18 years. He shared his journey this week with ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland.
