I am a reality television junkie. Several years ago at a cookout my friends and I decided to pose Real Housewives style to show our support for the show coming to Charlotte. Well, looks like we may have our chance to star in a Charlotte series of the popular reality show.

Yesterday, WXII12.com reported that the popular Bravo series was coming to Charlotte. The post, which has be deleted, said that the series was looking for outspoken moms between the ages of 28-45 who live in the same town where they grew up.

I think I fit the bill, but the question is if this is really real (the post was deleted for a reason), would I really apply? Hmmm, stay tuned …

Until then, check out what was posted on WXII yesterday:

You’ve probably heard of the “Real Housewives” of Atlanta, New Jersey, and Beverly Hills. Now the Bravo cable series will be coming to Charlotte. The Los Angeles-based production company is looking for outspoken Charlotte moms between the ages of 28-45 to star in its latest “Real Housewives”installment.

Producers also said they would also like a group of moms who live in the same town where they grew up and whose group dynamic has continued to blossom through motherhood. The docu-series plans to start shooting in North Carolina in the upcoming weeks.

Side note: If the Real Housewives series came to Charlotte, who would you cast? Do you think there is enough drama (and people willing to share the drama) in Charlotte for the series to last or would Charlotte be another Real Housewives of DC (no drama and cancelled after one season)?

Check out this Charlotte Magazine article with their casting picks.
