Sweet Pie’s Reminds Us How Sweet Life Really Is One of my challenges with television has been finding something of value to watch during my down time. It’s really a matter of taste; for some there is a lot to watch, while others complain of having so many channels that have nothing to offer.
Recently, I discovered a program that I have truly enjoyed! “Sweetie Pie’s,” on the OWN network. It’s not a perfect show but a good show that offers a solid opportunity to laugh for an hour. It is the story of the actual “Sweetie Pie’s” restaurant in St. Louis Missouri. The owner Robbie Montgomery was a backup singer for Ike and Tina Turner. Because of a collapsed lung, she had to retire, returning to St. Louis to open a family restaurant with her son.
141 Charlotte Residents Pay Off Their Mortgage Even in the midst of the continuing housing crisis, there is good news to be found. On Thursday, October 27th, Habitat Charlotte is hosting a mortgage-burning ceremony, and there will be plenty of fuel for the fire.
