CNN and Jim Acosta have filed a lawsuit against President Trump and members of his staff. Acosta is seeking reinstatement of his White House press pass that was revoked last week, after he refused to relinquish a microphone during a press conference with the president, while pursuant to his questioning. The suit alleges that Acosta’s First and Fifth Amendment rights are being violated. CNN has taken up the cause saying that other news organizations could be similarly targeted by the Trump administration. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday morning.
