Donald Trump is demanding that the contested Florida elections be awarded to Republican candidates Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis, via Twitter, the president is claiming that ballots have been forged or hidden. However, the facts are that the Florida U.S. Senate race between Scott and incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson went to a recount because of the narrow margin between the two. The state’s gubernatorial race between Democrat Andrew Gillum and Republican Ron DeSantis is also being recounted. Without evidence, Trump is pressing that the elections be handed to his party’s candidates because of a “massively infected” election process. A spokesperson for the Florida Department of Elections has said that “no illegal activity” was witnessed.
