President Trump campaigned for Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.) in his Republican primary fight. Strange lost this week against Roy Moore, a former Alabama chief justice. Trump tweeted congratulations to Moore but on Tuesday night, erased several tweets supportive of strange, including one from Tuesday morning that said Strange “has been shooting up in the Alabama polls since my endorsement.”
