The Christian Post  reports that Christian tight end Seth DeValve, of the Cleveland Browns, is the first known white player to take a knee during the national anthem in apparent support of quarterback Colin Kaepernick.   Monday, during the Brown’s preseason game against the New York Giants, DeValve, joined in the prayer circle to pray during the national anthem.  He is married to Erica, an African-American woman whom he met while serving in campus ministry at Princeton. DeValve said, “I myself will be raising children that don’t look like me, and I want to do my part as well to do everything I can to raise them in a better environment than we have right now. So I wanted to take the opportunity with my teammates during the anthem to pray for our country and also to draw attention to the fact that we have work to do.”
