The American Worker continues to face major challenges. Despite loyality and commitment to their jobs, the American Worker grapples with increased consumer prices and stagnant wages. In fact, wages have been largely stagnant in the United States for the last 45 years. To add insult to injury, corporate CEO’s in the United States are making […]

For the first time since President Obama took office, national unemployment dropped below 7 percent. January’s jobs report signals a downward trend in national unemployment, but the report also signaled a mixed bag. The City of Charlotte and surrounding areas saw its unemployment numbers drop to 6.9 percent. But unemployment in the Black Community still […]

by Ron Holland I’ve been pondering the physics of space & time. I’m utterly fascinated with quantum mechanics. I’m intrigued by string theory, the big bang, quasars, singularities and black holes. The nearest quasar to Earth according to experts is about 2.44 billion light years away. Astrophysicists say the energy output of light in one […]

By Ron Holland I often wonder why we see GOD through the eyes, experience and holy books of other people, namely Israel. Do we not have our OWN story to tell about OUR experience with the Divine? Isn’t OUR story worthy to be on the pages of a leather-bound book found in the back of […]

by Ron Holland Let me disabuse the notion that GOD peeled back the ceiling of the Universe and handed humanity a neatly packaged faith system containing the doctrines and dogma of Christianity. The doctrinal origins of Christianity didn’t emerge from a miraculous pronouncement or descend from the Heavens as a perfect and cohesive expression of […]

The GOD I celebrate isn’t housed in bricks & mortar, tethered to tradition or reduced to pages in a book. The GOD I celebrate has no limitations, bounds or constraints. The GOD I celebrate doesn’t close doors to […]
