Word on the street is that Snoop has accepted the call – to release a gospel album.  In an interveiw with Beats 1, the West coast rapper shared, “It’s always been on my heart. I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business or doing this or doing that. I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now.”

Snoop says he’s had heavy conversation with Faith Evans and is thinking he’ll include Charlie Wilson, Jeffrey Osborne and others, saying “I’m gonna make it all the way right. It’s gonna feel good.”

An open fan of gospel music, Snoop participated in the Shirley Caesar “U Name It Challenge” that trended last December, and famously shared this classic Kirk Franklin tune on IG last year.
