The U.S. Department of Labor reported this morning that the U.S. unemployment rate hit its lowest level in nine years. From October to November, non-farm payrolls rose by 178,000 jobs, pushing the unemployment rate down to 4.6 percent – the lowest on record since August 2007. That rate exceeded the expectations who projected a 4.9 percent rate (the same as October 2016).
