President-Elect Donald Trump at a midtown Manhattan hotel early Wednesday morning, vowing to heal the wounds caused by this bitter election year. Telling his constituents that Hillary Clinton had called him to concede the race, Trump said, “We owe her a major debt of gratitude to her for her service of our country.” He went on to promise to be a “president for all Americans,” saying “…we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone, all people are all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility, partnership, not conflict.”
President Obama called Donald Trump this morning to congratulate him on the win, and invited him to visit the Oval Office on Thursday.
