Florida Prepares As Hurricane Matthew Barrels Towards Atlantic Coast

Florida Gov. Rick Scott has denied extension of the state’s voter-registration deadline.  Hillary Clinton’s campaign had expressed its desire for the governor to offer Florida’s citizens an extended opportunity to register to vote, in light of Hurricane Matthew. Scott said he felt that people have had time to register in advance of the Oct. 11 deadline, adding this morning on Good Morning America that his priority right now is keeping people safe.
