Jordan Smith took ABC’S “The Voice” to church this week, ministering one of the most ubiquitous hymns of the Christian faith.  According to  Nielsen ratings, 12 million viewers watched him perform  “Great is Thy Faithfulness” garnering Smith a top spot on iTunes, beating out many mainstream artists.

Smith is a Kentucky native and senior at Pentecostal college, Church of God’s Lee University.  He is in the final 12 contestants competing in the 9th season of “The Voice”.

With an exceptional and heartfelt performance, Smith’s version of the hymn has topped the iTunes chart, beating out everything from Adele’s “Hello” to Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”  Watch Smith’s rendition of “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” below.
