Atlanta, GA — Stellar Award nominated gospel recording artist Earnest Pugh is winning over audiences alongside the Star-studded cast of America’s hottest new musical stage production, “Ain’t Too Proud Too Beg.”

Presented by 3 Johns Multimedia, directed by Michael Matthews and produced by Emily James the play shines as a funny, yet heartwarming rollercoaster of laughs, loves, lies, forgiveness, and everything between. With a star-studded cast that includes Pugh, Stellar award-winning, “Songbird of the South” Dottie Peoples, and more, the gripping narrative tells the tale of a wealthy businessman who has grown dissatisfied with his marriage due to his wife’s decision to dedicate her life to Christ.  What ensues is a must-see lesson that teaches of the destruction of pride and arrogance, yet also sheds light on God’s lasting love for his children.

Assuming the role of “Brother Pugh,” Earnest brings to life a character whose mission is to act as an encouraging force for Lorraine as well as a host of other key characters in the production.  With his presence already felt via his inspirational spoken lines, Pugh takes the experience into overdrive when he lends live renditions of his Billboard #1 hits “Rain On Us” and “I Need Your Glory.” The latter enjoyed a lengthy nine-week run atop Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart.

Director Emily K. James reflects on the experience of working with Pugh aboard the praise-filled play.  “Earnest brought his magnificent talent and voice. “I truly had a great time and great worship,” she said.  “The experience of working with him [Earnest] has been awesome.”

The five-octave crooner continues to promote his critically acclaimed #1 Billboard album, THE W.I.N. (Worship In Nassau) EXPERIENCE  across the country that features three Billboard Top 20 hit singles “More Of You,” the urban-tinged, J. Moss-assisted cut “I Believe You Most,” and its current single  “All Things Through Christ” featuring gospel legend Rance Allen.
