Richmond, VA – Sunday morning is usually a special time that is put aside for Worship & Praise, a word of encouragement from the Pastor and fellowship if you attend church like most of the people I know.
On yesterday, (Sunday, September 22, 2013), at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, there was a strong anointing in the air, as the choir, under the direction of Patrick Newby, lead the choir in a string of back to back songs, that were high energy and kept many on their feet.
At the midway point, one of the church lead vocalists JoJo Clark along with Angela Crawford, (pictured below) were called on to sing the lead for “Potters House!”
Now, while it is a song that can sing by itself, JoJo Clark and Angela Crawford, truly bought this song to life, with wings. Their vocals were impeccable as they hit highs and lows all on key. They truly blessed the congregation and helped create an atmosphere of high Praise, making you want to “stay right there” and worship God!
After a brief presentation of gifts to St. Paul’s First Lady Rose Watson, as the church was celebrating First Lady Day, the special guest soloist was introduced. Sunday Best Winner and now pastor of her own Church LeAndra Johnson, took center stage with only two male background vocalists.
She was POWERFUL, ANOINTED, Delivered her music ministry like there was no tomorrow, and left no spiritual stone unturned!
She said, “You have to know who you are and whose you are. I’m speaking to everybody in here who feel like you can’t make it.” She then jumped into singing ‘God will supply” and then started humming the song. IT WAS POWERFUL!
It was truly like Fire…(In the words of Rev. James Moore) shut up in my bones giving God praise!
