Veteran Tackle Moton Reflects on Possible Final Season with Panthers

Taylor Moton, a steady presence at offensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers since being drafted in the second round in 2017, grew emotional after Wednesday’s training camp practice as he reflected on the possibility of this being his final season in Charlotte. The 30-year-old is entering the final year of his contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March. Moton has started 113 games—13th most in franchise history—and played in 129 overall. Though never a Pro Bowler, he’s been consistently reliable. After missing time last season with an elbow injury, Moton says he enters year nine “feeling like a rookie.”
