Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther is poised to have a huge debut at the box office in February already boasting the largest pre-sales ever seen for a Marvel movie. Fandango reports that the first 24 hours of ticket presales for the film breaks the record previously held by Captain America: Civil War, which was released in 2016.
The original trailer was viewed 89 million times in its first 24 hours, and Twitter showed that Black Panther was the ninth most tweeted about film of 2017 – and the only one on the list that has not yet been released.
