The death toll from Hurricane Irma in the U.S. has doubled, reaching 22.  This morning six people died after their Florida nursing home was left without power following Hurricane Irma.  The Rehabilitation Center at Hollywood Hills reportedly had a generator, but it apparently did not generate enough power to turn on the air conditioning. The deaths are believed to be heat-related. Outside the U.S., at least 38 people are reported dead resultant from the storm. More than 70 people were killed by Hurricane Harvey just days before Irma hit.
