After hitting landfall Friday as a Category 4 Hurricane, now Tropical Storm Harvey has settled in and so far dumped at least a foot of rain in most parts of Houston, Texas. In historic flood conditions, officials estimate that thousands of people have been rescued, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) said 3,000 national and state guard members have been deployed.  The Houston Independent School District has canceled school for the week and residents with boats are being have heroically been assisting in rescue efforts. More than 30 inches of rain have fallen in parts of Houston and Harris County since Saturday, and some areas are expected to get up to 50 inches. Rain is expected to continue through Thursday. The unconfirmed death toll from Harvey at five.
