The Trump administration is investigating and suing colleges who have used affirmative action to discriminate against white applicants. Ironically, affirmative action, sets policy for places like schools and employers to give minorities and women equal opportunity placement, and was implemented in the 1960’s to balance out discriminatory practices against these groups. Supporters say it’s a long overdue overhaul, believing that it’s no longer the best way to get the best people in position. However, increased disparities against minority groups, make critics wary that this will just open the door do more of the same.
