Penguin Random House Publishers have locked down former president and first lady, Barack and Michelle Obama for their memoirs, to be recorded in separate books. It’s a his and hers set, that are worth a reported record sum of at least $60 million. The books will be written separately, but selling rights are joint.  Major publishers like Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, and HarperCollins made offers as well. $60 million leaves all other deals of former presidents in the dust. Bill Clinton was paid $15 million for his post-White House memoir, and George W. Bush received $10 million for his.
