The FBI announced yesterday that it has found no reason for criminal charges of Hillary Clinton in the use of her private email server.

FBI Director James Comey says that investigators have found nothing in emails recently recovered on Anthony Weiner’s laptop that alters the agency’s decision not clear the Democratic nominee of charges. The FBI chief had previously said that while Clinton and her aides were “extremely careless” to use a private server for official business when she ran the State Department, “no reasonable prosecutor” would have pursued a criminal case against them for mishandling classified information.

The story is far from over though, as Republican lawmakers will continue to assert that Clinton committed perjury when she testified before Congress about her email system. Comey will likely endure further scrutiny about his leadership, having drawn criticism from Republicans and Democrats for revealing the existence of the second batch of emails during the election. Democrats are calling for an investigation into the agency the source of leaks to Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani.
