Serena Williams finished day twelve of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championship with a victory in the Final Of The Ladies’ Singles against Garbine Muguruza of Spain. She celebrates her sixth Wimbledon championship, 21st Grand Slam singles trophy overall and fourth consecutive major title.
She moves on to the U.S. Open at Flushing Meadows in August – chasing practically the only accolade to elude her so far – a calendar-year Grand Slam. No one has accomplished this in tennis in more than a quarter-century.
