Charlotte Gets New Mayor
Charlotte has named North Carolina State Sen. Dan Clodfelter mayor , replacing Patrick Cannon. Cannon resigned about two weeks ago, following his arrest on federal corruption chages.
Clodfelter, was chosen by the City Council over former Council member James “Smuggie” Mitchell. Aswearing-in ceremony is planned for Wednesday.
