Verizon is searching for local muralists in each city on the How Sweet The Sound national tour to create a mural that best represents their city and the tenets of the How Sweet the Sound gospel experience.

Murals must reflect the values of the communities in which they are posted, as well as uplift and provide a lasting visual reminder of Verizon’s ongoing commitment to the communities it serves.

Designs must be based on three common pillars of African American culture: Music, Community and Church. Each mural will be displayed along a wallscape in the community and will be unveiled in conjunction with the regional HSTS event in each market. In addition, winning concepts will also be showcased in a traveling art exhibit through each of the 14 markets (as a maquette of each city mural), featured on the website, postcards and posters, and as a wallpaper downloads.
