Puppets aren’t usually my thing, but the musical “War Horse” takes puppetry to a gargantuan level. The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center will bring “War Horse” to Charlotte as part of its 2012-2013 season next spring. Attendees at the Blumenthal’s preview event got a sneak peek at the Tony Award winning musical on Wednesday. We even got to see the star of the show “Joey.”
The other season’s other shows include the return of favorites such as “Wicked” and “The Lion King.” Another interesting performance is “Traces,” a new form of circus acrobatics set in an urban landscape. Audiences got a glimpse of the artistry on “America’s Got Talent” last year.
